Centenary Specification

In 1919, W.O. Bentley built his first car – the product of a passion for materials and fine craftsmanship that has defined Bentley over our first 100 years and continues to do so today.

As part of our Centenary celebrations, Bentley has created a fitting tribute to the legacy of its founder: an exquisite package of handcrafted features for every car built at the factory in Crewe in 2019. Designed to incorporate subtle Centenary styling into the features and finish of every car, it represents a unique opportunity to own a car with rare celebratory details; a car that will never be available again.

BE PART OF OUR CENTENARY

This carefully curated collection of design touches can be seen on both the exterior and interior of the cars, ensuring that a century of history is reflected in every car.

On the outside, the badges on the bonnet, boot and wheel centres will feature a specially created metallic finish around the ‘B’ in the logo: Centenary Gold. The bonnet and boot badges will also display the years 1919 and 2019.

On opening the door, a welcome lamp illuminates the ground with a Centenary message, while new treadplates highlight the two key years. Inside, the Bentley wings and the Bentley B on both the steering wheel and the gear shifter are subtly adorned with Centenary Gold, as is the Bentley B on the all-important key.

As an additional option, customers will be invited to commission contrast stitching and cross stitching in Centenary Gold thread, throughout the cabin of their car – ensuring it catches both the light and the eye, from every angle. Available only for cars with hides in a single colour, it also includes Centenary Gold embroidery of the Bentley Wings on the headrests and the seats.

AVAILABLE FOR ONE YEAR ONLY

This exquisite detailing ensures that owners of these special cars will become part of Bentley’s Centenary celebrations.

The Centenary Specification will only be applied to cars built at the Bentley factory in Crewe between January and December 2019, which means orders for Centenary Specification cars must be received between October 2018 and October 2019 (September 2018 to September 2019 for Mulsanne).

These features are only available with the commission of a new car during this period, so they will only be seen on a very small number of the Bentleys on the road, now and in the future.

Cars with these Centenary details will therefore be rare – and they are destined to become highly collectible.

INSPIRED BY THE PAST AND THE FUTURE

The Centenary Specification reflects the focus and craftsmanship of the Bentley brand throughout a century of history. At its heart is the Centenary Gold colour – a stunning metallic detail colour that represents a 100 years of creating memorable cars.

Inspired by both the past and the future, Centenary Gold draws on the tones of the metalwork seen on vintage Bentleys, as well as the copper detailing featured on the new Bentayga Hybrid and the all-electric EXP12 Speed 6e concept car. In this way, it honours the company’s rich heritage and symbolises the beginning of an electrifying new era.

Created by combining iron oxide-coated, super-fine aluminium flakes with paliochrome gold, this rich, vibrant colour is characterised by elegant warm tones and deep fluid shadows. Crafted to shine like jewellery, it is the purest expression of Bentley’s celebrations.
