In 2020, Bentley teams will contest the following championships:
Intercontinental GT Challenge
This global championship takes in the world’s most iconic racetracks across five continents – Bathurst in Australia, Spa in Europe, Suzuka in Asia, Indianapolis in the USA and Kyalami in Africa. Bentley Team M-Sport took the opening round win in Bathurst and K-PAX Racing and CMR will contest the 24 Hours of Spa.
GT World Challenge Europe
Formerly the Blancpain GT Series, this is the most established international GT3 championship in the world. Featuring the top tracks in Europe, the ten events are split into endurance races and sprint races. In the Endurance Cup, K-PAX Racing will race for the Pro class honours and Team Parker Racing will contest the Silver Cup class with Bentley Motorsport Academy. CMR will contest the full series taking in all ten endurance and sprint rounds.
GT World Challenge Asia
GT World Challenge Asia is the biggest GT3-only championship in Asia and, in 2020, JMW Motorsport will take the Continental GT3 back to the series. With the 24 Hours of Le Mans under their belt, this British team is well-used to racing at the top level and is looking forward to challenging for the Pro-Am title.
British GT Championship
The British national GT championship takes in tracks including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Bentley’s home circuit Oulton Park. The 2017 championship-winning outfit Team Parker Racing is back in 2020 and its GT4 championship-winning drivers have stepped-up to GT3 to battle for overall honours.
ADAC GT Masters
Bentley first entered GT Masters in 2015 and took a pole position and race win straight off the bat. After two seasons racing in Germany’s top series with some of the world’s leading racing drivers, the Continental GT3 left the grid but is returning in 2020 for the first time in three years with T3 Motorsport running the operation.
International GT Open
The first generation Continental GT3 had some great success in GT Open in 2018 with class wins and overall podiums to its name. In 2020, championship stalwarts Lazarus Racing will enter a pair of new Continental GT3s and will look to take Bentley’s first GT Open title.
