EFFICIENCY MEETS EXQUISITE CRAFT
The Flying Spur Odyssean Edition represents the next step on Bentley’s sustainability journey, implementing a wealth of design ideas first revealed on the Bentley concept car, the EXP 100 GT. As a limited edition, it includes numerous exclusive features and finishes, many demonstrating the very best in environmentally friendly craft.
With an advanced 2.9 litre hybrid powertrain, it offers the established hallmarks of Bentley performance – effortless acceleration and an incredibly refined ride – alongside reduced emissions. The most fuel-efficient Bentley to roll out of the factory so far, it represents a statement of sustainable design, without compromise on character or craftsmanship.

Even at first glance, the Flying Spur Odyssean Edition strikes a different note from most luxury cars. Its exterior paintwork – with six natural tones recommended for this car by the Bentley design team – is complemented by the application of Pale Brodgar paint on many of the exterior details that would normally be finished in chrome. The result is simultaneously eye-catching and understated, as the muted finish adds an even more sophisticated touch to the door handles, the lower bumpers, the various bezels and the unique 21” ten twin-spoke wheels. Badging is equally subtle, with an Odyssean Edition badge on each ‘D’ pillar and the word ‘Hybrid’ visible on the trunk lid.
On entering the cabin, you will step over unique Odyssean Edition treadplates, before taking a seat in a truly relaxing interior. The leather upholstery can be commissioned in your choice of five colour schemes, each continuing the theme of neutral tones established on the car’s exterior.
Inspired by the craftsmanship seen in the EXP 100 GT, ombré stitching sees three thread colours fade into one another across the surfaces of the seats, resulting in a luxuriously warm, shimmering effect. Panels of a locally sourced wool tweed, meanwhile, add a tactile warmth to the headrests and the backs of the seats.
Crown-cut Koa veneers are applied to the fascia and waistrails, their open-pore finish injecting minimalist style, thanks to their sparing use of lacquer – which in turn benefits the environment. Intricate 3D diamond-formed detailing, meanwhile, complements the sleek Piano Linen painted veneers used to clad the centre console.
Powered by an uncompromising blend of a 2.9 litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine and a powerful electric motor, the Flying Spur Odyssean Edition delivers effortless exhilaration and power on the open road. Together, the engine and E Motor deliver 536 bhp (544 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb.ft) of torque, resulting in a combined range of 497 miles (800 km), with the capability to drive on electric power only for a full 25 miles (40km) (NEDC). In electric-only mode, the car’s top speed is 87 mph (140 km/h), making it more than capable of highway driving without engaging the petrol engine. Put your foot down, however, and you can experience the full power of the car: 0-60 mph in a thrilling 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.3 secs) and a maximum speed of 177 mph (285 km/h).
But it’s not just about raw power – the Flying Spur Odyssean Edition represents the ultimate in responsible luxury, for drivers and passengers alike. In EV mode, for example, occupants can expect up to 50% less cabin noise at speeds of up to 50 mph, when compared to a comparable model powered by a combustion engine alone.
Technology
FORWARD-LOOKING FEATURES
-
AN INTELLIGENT APPROACH
When you start the car, it automatically engages EV Drive mode, which means it is running on electric power alone, provided there is sufficient charge in the battery. Hold mode relies entirely on the petrol engine for power, while recouping energy to recharge the battery every time you brake. Hybrid mode allows the car to select the most appropriate means of propulsion by itself. Activate the intelligent navigation system and to maximise fuel efficiency, it will work out which stages of your journey should be made using the electric motor alone and which will require use of the petrol engine. It then switches between the two as required, ensuring that you reach your destination having used all the electric power available.
-
DESIGNED TO GO FURTHER
Hybrid technology means the best of both worlds: low emissions and maximum range. To make long drives as comfortable and safe as possible, therefore, the Flying Spur Odyssean Edition includes the Touring Specification, offering features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Detection, a head-up display and a night vision camera. The Seat Comfort Specification, meanwhile, provides ventilation, massage and winged comfort headrests for all four outboard seats, alongside adjustable cushion and backrest bolsters.

MY BENTLEY CONNECTED SERVICES
With Android Auto* and Apple CarPlay** installed as standard, you can integrate your phone with the car’s systems quickly and easily, while a Wi-Fi hotspot and SIM card provide built-in internet connectivity.
The My Bentley smartphone app, meanwhile, lets you check your car’s lights, locks and fuel levels remotely. You can also pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin to a comfortable 22° C before you get in, or instruct the car to commence charging.
