Exterior Design

Road presence: a term that takes on new meaning with the introduction of the new Flying Spur W12 S. Never before has a luxury sedan driven so confidently into territory normally occupied by supercars. And with its striking sporting appearance, the Flying Spur W12 S is impossible to miss. Gloss black metal details adorn its sleek exterior, along with W12 S badging on the rear pillar and the stainless steel W12 S branded treadplates. Dark tint lamps to the front and rear are teamed with a black matrix grille, rear diffuser and 21” 7 gloss black twin-spoke wheels, which can be paired with a choice of either red or black painted brake calipers. The sports front bumper design helps to give the impression of sitting lower to the road, while a gloss black diffuser completes the brooding picture.

Interior Design

A unique seat colour split has been developed to lend the Flying Spur W12 S interior a distinct sporting feel. Contrast stitching catches the eye on both the steering wheel and seat inserts, with unique headrest stitching completing a sleek, stylish upholstery design. Flying Spur W12 S steel treadplates are also standard.

Black Engine Spin Veneer

In the Flying Spur W12 S, veneered surfaces have been treated with an irresistible twist on a classic. Bentley has long offered turned aluminium, or ‘engine spin’ as a material in place of wooden veneers. Derived directly from the bespoke car interiors created for the Bentley Boys in the Roaring Twenties, it remains popular among those drivers keen to introduce elements reminiscent of classic early racing cars. But now, it comes with a darker side: black engine spin. Cars can be commissioned with this striking surface throughout – or in combination with carbon fibre, for an even more technical look.

Mulliner Driving Specification

The Flying Spur W12 S features the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard, ensuring that drilled alloy foot pedals, knurled controls and other sports styling features are on show throughout the car’s exquisite interior. Alongside the Sports Plus steering wheel, knurled gear shift paddles and, if desired, carbon fibre inlays to the fascia and doors, it soon becomes abundantly clear to any occupant that this Flying Spur is no wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing. Inside and out, it’s all wolf.

Wheels

For every Bentley, a wide range of wheel designs are available. And for the Flying Spur W12 S, a unique new wheel finish has been created, unavailable on any other Bentley: the 21” 7 twin-spoke gloss black wheel. As with every aspect of this remarkable car, every available wheel style was designed at the factory in Crewe, to complement its proportions perfectly.  The optional 21" Directional sports alloy wheel is also available in either a black or dark tint finish.

Power

With a power output of 635 PS and torque levels of 820 Nm, the 6.0-litre hand-built engine in the Flying Spur W12 S delivers effortless acceleration, taking the car and its occupants from 0-60 mph in a blistering 4.2 seconds. Yet with improved handling and overall responsiveness in every driving situation, there is much more to the Flying Spur W12 S than speed alone. The W12 S also offers a useful 672km range between refuelling stops, enabling the driver to appreciate uninterrupted driving pleasure.

The Power Of Personalisation

There are now many ways to make your already unique Flying Spur W12 S completely yours. With a wide range of unique features including the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard and black brightware on the exterior of the car, it represents a strikingly charismatic canvas on which to make your mark with Bentley’s incredible range of options. With over a hundred colours to choose from and the opportunity to commission truly bespoke additions from the Mulliner workshop, you will never see another car quite like your Flying Spur. Also new for the Flying Spur is an optional 21” Sports directional wheel in either a black or dark tint finish for an even more extreme statement of driving intent.

Hides And Veneers

The Flying Spur W12 S is upholstered with hides that are among the finest used in the automotive industry. The natural leather aroma, reminiscent of classic Bentley interiors, is the result of Bentley’s own tanning process, after which the hides are dyed in a range of over 17 colours – with bespoke hues available on request. Matching or contrasting colours can be commissioned for practically any surface in the car, from the lining of stowage areas such as the glove compartment, to the seatbelts themselves and even the grilles of the speakers. For an even softer, smoother and more ‘lived-in’ leather feel, you can commission your Flying Spur W12 S with semi-aniline leather.

In addition, a new Black Tint Engine Spin aluminium finish is available for the Flying Spur W12 S. Applied to the front fascia panels and door waistrails, it is exquisitely complimented with Piano Black veneer to the front centre console. There are also seven alternative wood veneer and two technical finishes to choose from, including contemporary carbon fibre.
