    Technology

    Find out more.

    Urban driving made easy

The City Specification* is installed as standard, offering a range of advanced driver assistance systems that make it much easier and safer to drive in urban environments. It can assist with parking, give you a 360-degree view around your car and help you avoid collisions with both moving and stationary objects.

  • Control for rear-seat passengers

The wide centre console houses the Touch Screen Remote, a wireless tablet that gives passengers in the rear access to many of the car’s features, from seat massage to controls for the audio system. With a single tap on the screen, for example, all the privacy blinds in the rear of the car can be closed.

  • Effortless connectivity

The Flying Spur offers built-in support for the wired and wireless versions of Apple CarPlay® and AndroidTM Auto, allowing the driver to safely use apps on his or her smartphone. It also features a Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing all passengers to share the car’s internet connection.

  • Filtered air for improved wellbeing

An intelligent new air conditioning system has been installed to filter out potentially harmful PM2.5 particles. If the system detects that pollution levels exceed certain levels, it will stop drawing air from outside and instead recirculate the air inside the cabin. It can also use the GPS system to detect when the car is nearing a tunnel and switch to recirculation mode in anticipation.

  • Unrivalled audio options

Audio options include the standard Bentley Signature Audio, the 16-channel, 1,550 Watt Bang & Olufsen for Bentley and for the most discerning audiophiles, the 20-channel, 2,200 Watt Naim for Bentley system – the most powerful factory-fitted automotive audio system in the world.

  • An app store for your car

The new My Bentley App Studio allows you to download your choice of apps direct to the car, from a range curated by the team at Bentley, including navigation, gaming and entertainment titles. This means the apps you use can access the car’s data, for example fuel or charge level information, which is useful for navigation apps.

Performance

Smooth, surging power

The Bentley High Performance Hybrid powertrain couples a turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 petrol engine with an advanced electric motor, to deliver a range of driving modes. With both the engine and the motor engaged, the car can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.8 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds) and reach a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h). It can also be driven in electric-only mode, for a range of up to 50 miles (80 km).

All-wheel steering is a standard feature, shrinking the car’s turning circle at low speeds, while also allowing for smoother lane changes and overtaking when cruising on the highway. Twin valve dampers allow for a greater difference in character between driving modes, while the Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system reduces body movement, especially when cornering.

Personalisation

Make your Flying Spur unique

A dazzling array of colours
Wide range of wheels and brake callipers
Upholstered to your personal taste
Add character with veneers

You can commission a Flying Spur in any of seven standard colours, however if you choose to explore the optional extended range of paints, as well as Mulliner’s range of premium finishes, you will have over 80 exterior finishes to choose from.

Alternative wheels are available in a choice of 21” and 22” designs, with the option to add self-levelling wheel badges and brake callipers in a choice of colours.

Inside the cabin, both the Nappa leather on the seats, doors and lower cabin, and the Dinamica on the pillars and the roof, can be specified in any one of five colours. By adding the optional Colour Specification, you can choose from a further 10 colours. It also offers two duo-tone colour layouts to choose from, as alternatives to the standard single-colour design. Contrast stitching and piping can be added as further options, to inject even more of your personal flair.

The veneers fitted to the cabin’s hard surfaces offer a similarly extensive choice. In addition to the standard Crown Cut Walnut, you can choose from a range that includes high-gloss woods, more contemporary open-pore woods, painted ‘piano’ veneers in numerous colours and a range of technical finishes, from Carbon Fibre to Engine-Turned Aluminium.
