Natural materials

The design, craftsmanship and materials of a Bentley’s interior represent a pinnacle of automotive luxury.  The same principles inspire the Bentley Home Collection, bringing Bentley’s unique combination of style, comfort and craftsmanship into the home environment.

Several new pieces, introduced at the Milan Design Week 2026, showcase the continuing evolution of the Collection through the harmonious collaboration between the Bentley Motors Design team and acclaimed designers Carlo Colombo, Federico Peri and Francesco Forcellini.

Ben Saltmer, Head of Lifestyle Design at Bentley Motors, explains: “Comfort and materiality are fundamental to Bentley. At Milan Design Week 2026 we’re pushing that further through our curation of beautiful, crafted materials that encourage tactility and create inviting, luxurious statement pieces.”

For Bentley Motors, endurance underpins everything they create. The company’s earliest years saw the winged ‘B’ triumph many times at the Le Mans 24 Hour race, the toughest possible test of engineering integrity and endurance. It’s a remarkable fact that many of the Bentleys of the 1920s are still running today, their bodywork carrying a priceless patina that bears witness to an enthralling life story.

As with Bentley cars, the Bentley Home Collection is designed to last for generations, with materials that will gently mature over time and a design ethos that will never fall out of fashion. Each of the pieces in the collection reflects a vision of contemporary living where luxury is understated, inviting and made to last.

To underscore that message of timeless design, several iconic Bentley Home pieces from previous years have been enhanced with captivating new combinations of colour, materials and trim. Giving them a new lease of life, these pieces harmonise beautifully alongside the new collection pieces, as shown at Milan Design Week 2026.

At the heart of the Bentley Home Collection are materials that not only perform beautifully but become more appealing with age. These include locally sourced natural fibres, such as wool, alpaca, cotton, linen and mohair velvet jacquards.

Finishes include natural resins and hand-brushed shellac lacquers, applied in layers that create a subtle interaction with light, emphasising the furniture’s forms and inviting the gentle caress of a fingertip.

Bentley’s heritage with leather is also celebrated in the collection, with tactile leather outer shells and upholstery, perfectly aligned with precision-sewn seams.

These natural materials develop character over time rather than wearing out, helping to create an immersive “sensory landscape” of understated comfort.

With its enveloping back and arms, the Embrace sofa, designed by Carlo Colombo, creates a welcoming cocoon of comfort. It’s an inviting space, to share with others or simply stretch out and relax in. The fully upholstered leather outer shell is tactile and cocooning; the lower shell can be shown in exquisite wood veneer or finished with the satin sheen of layered shellac to bring visual contrast. The tapering base reduces visual weight, while conveying strength and stability.

Embrace is crafted using natural materials, with a choice of textile upholstery fabrics that complement the leather shell and veneer base. Its fluid, enveloping form is both contemporary and timeless.

Carlo Colombo’s Embrace Armchair makes the perfect companion piece to the sofa, with a curved, leather-clad outer shell as a consistent visual theme. The contrasting textures of leather outer shell and fabric upholstery inside create an inviting, personal space in which to sit and relax.

The soft sheen of the wood veneer on the lower shell and the gently tapering base create a sense of balance and fluidity. It’s a form that is both modern and respectful of the brand’s heritage. Crafted to last, the Embrace Armchair draws the eye and invites you to unwind in a cocoon of comfort.

With its open upper frame, the design of the Continuum dining chair counterbalances the stability of its base with a visually lighter upper structure. The back sweeps around to create an enveloping sense of support, while the seat itself appears to float within its frame. The contrast of soft and tactile upholstery in either leather or fabric contrasts with the smooth, soft sheen of the wood veneer or lacquer frame.

A wide choice of natural materials and finishes make the Continuum a supremely versatile chair, equally suitable for the home or commercial settings.

The Dovedale design celebrates Bentley’s ability to offer bespoke designs to suit the individual. It’s distinguished by its Bentley dynamic surfacing and a chamfered edge that cleverly reduces visual weight. The top insert can be specified in different materials, allowing wood veneers and marble to harmonise and inviting the customer to co-create the piece. This refined interplay of materials opens broad scope for personalization, while the lacquered base anchors the piece with understated presence.

Designer Federico Peri’s Brimham Ottoman is inspired by organic forms, like river pebbles worn smooth over time by the passage of water. Its sculptural form is complemented by a distinctive leather ‘saddle’ that wraps the structure, with the scope to include pockets and other details of fine craftsmanship. This element can be removed or replaced over time, maintaining the longevity of a piece destined to become a family heirloom.

Inspired by the golden age of travel, the Porter Trunk evokes images of exploration and reinterprets them as a beautifully crafted piece for living spaces or bedrooms. The outer shell can be finished in lacquer or hand-brushed Shellac, while the interior is lined in leather, Alcantara, or cashmere, giving the customer ample scope for individual choice. The interior can remain open or be equipped with optional storage boxes secured by leather straps and magnetic closures, making this piece both a dramatic design statement and a versatile addition to the home.

Compact, understated yet full of delightful detail, the Nest Bedside Table features the collection’s signature interplay of refined materials. The curved outer shell brings the warmth and tactility of fine wood veneer, while the top surface can be finished in leather or marble. Distinguishing features include Bentley’s signature chamfer, while the drawer can be finished in lacquer or Shellac lacquer as the customer wishes.
