Virtuoso Collection

by Mulliner

The Virtuoso Collection by Mulliner is a remarkable series of limited-edition cars designed to offer the ultimate in-car audio experience. Alongside a selection of unique Mulliner features, they feature a bespoke sound system developed in partnership with audio experts Naim and FOCAL. The result is a series of vehicles that offer the ultimate audio in-car experience. The collection spans four Bentley model ranges – the Continental GT, Continental GTC, Flying Spur and Bentayga – however with only a limited run of each model scheduled for construction, they will remain rare and exclusive examples of Mulliner craftsmanship.

A step-change in sound

The Naim for Mulliner audio system was originally developed exclusively for the Bentley Mulliner Batur, a coachbuilt car of which only 18 were originally built. With the launch of the Virtuoso Collection by Mulliner, however, this groundbreaking ‘Naim for Mulliner‘ audio system will now briefly be made available in a limited number of Bentley cars.

At the heart of each one lies the sound system itself, combining the incredible amplifier developed for the Naim for Bentley system with exclusive hand-wound speakers, bringing FOCAL’s unrivalled Utopia monitor technology from the recording studio into the car.

Crafted both for unparalleled sound clarity and for aesthetic elegance, the system features 18 speakers and two drivers. An innovative M-shaped cone design together with a very open speaker grille, means that more of the sound is expelled from the speaker cone and less bounces back into the unit. Overall, the system offers a 26% increase in sound transparency. The Bentley audio team tune for each platform using Fraunhofer’s Symphoria 3D algorithm. Developing the sound in the car to maximize the clarity based on the improved hardware. Together with Dolby ATMOS enables even greater depth and width to the surround sound experience within the cabin. The result is a high clarity of sound, in a totally enhanced immersive experience for driver and passengers. So whatever your audio preferences, from rock music to classical or even content from your favourite podcast, the Virtuoso Collection by Mulliner enables you to enjoy unrivalled clarity while relaxing in a truly beautiful space.

A tradition of auditory excellence

Bentley has a long history of collaborating with Naim Audio on the award-winning Naim for Bentley sound system, considered for many years the ultimate in-car sound system.

When Mulliner Coachbuilt created the Batur hypercar in 2023, it included a precision-tuned version of Naim for Bentley, featuring FOCAL Utopia speaker technology. The new system, known as Naim for Mulliner, was an even more exclusive version of Naim for Bentley – however until now, it was only available to those drivers fortunate enough to own a Batur.

In the Virtuoso Collection by Mulliner, the system has been retuned to deliver optimal response in the different-shaped cabins of the Continental GT, the Continental GTC, the Flying Spur and the Bentayga, to ensure that every occupant of every Virtuoso Collection car enjoys a truly extraordinary audio experience.

Interior

Enter the inner sanctum

Three contemporary interior themes have been created for you to choose from.

A rich, dark theme has been infused with varied textures and deep, earthy tones to evoke the edgy atmosphere of a gig at an underground venue.

A lighter, more tonal option conjures the elegance and grandeur of a cathedral or concert hall, capturing the awe of experiencing classical music in an appropriately majestic space.

The third option is inspired by the pulsating world of electronic music, with silvery greys and blues coming together with refined metallic accents, to create a tasteful yet futuristic aesthetic.

Exterior

A breathtaking first impression

Every car in the Virtuoso Collection sees its interior and exterior design elevated with a range of exquisite materials, inspired by the world’s finest musical instruments.

The moment you lay eyes on the sleek exterior of a Virtuoso Collection car, your eyes will be drawn to the Champagne Gold finish on the badging, chosen by the design team to work beautifully with Bentley’s extensive range of paint colours.

On opening the door, you will see the same Champagne Gold finish on the treadplates you step over, as you enter a space like no other.

Delight in the details

The grills of the FOCAL speakers feature a striking crystal effect, allowing light to cascade delicately across the surface as the music plays.

The Champagne Gold finish seen on the exterior of the car is applied to much of the interior metal detailing and switchgear.

A new radial embroidery pattern has been developed, to evoke the rhythm and flow of live music. Exclusive to the Virtuoso Collection, it has been applied throughout the interior of each car.

To enrich the auditory experience and eliminate unwanted echoes, fabrics carefully selected for their sound-absorbing properties have been used in key locations.

Even the tonneau cover that protects the hood of the Continental GTC has been enhanced, with a glorious fan-shaped motif inspired by visualisations of sound.
