Graduate positions for 2026 are now closed. Vacancies will go live in October 2026 for an October 2027 start date.

Work experience vacancies are closed. Our 2027 plans for work experience opportunities are under review, this page will be updated in due course.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications after the closing date. This is to allow the recruitment process to progress to the next stage and to ensure we do not have candidates at different stages with delays.
It’s always good to have your target career path in mind when applying. Consider what you enjoy, what you want to explore in a career, and what aligns with your education. For apprenticeships, think about how your qualifications match up. Try discussing your strengths and skills with friends and family or Career Advisors – they may have some useful insight on what would be best for you.
We recommend applying for only one role. Applying for multiple roles may suggest a lack of focus, and candidates can only progress to assessment for one position. Just apply for the role you are most interested in.
The criteria for selection are outlined in the ‘About you’ section of each advert, but here’s an overview:
Graduate Programme: Candidates must have achieved a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject alongside a pass (Level 4 and above) in Maths and English at GCSE.
Industrial Placements: Candidates must be on track to achieve a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject alongside a pass (Level 4 and above) in Maths and English at GCSE.
Apprenticeships: For Degree Apprenticeships, candidates need three A-Levels (or equivalent e.g. BTEC) at grade C or above. For Higher and Intermediate Apprenticeships, qualifications can vary. At a minimum, we require GCSEs at level 3/D in Maths and English.
Entry is dependent on meeting the required grade criteria. If you fall short, the Talent Acquisition team will discuss options with you, but some roles may not be available.
You will need to relocate if you don't live within commuting distance. All our trainee roles are based at our Crewe Headquarters, in Cheshire. You will be relocating with a large cohort of apprentices, graduates and industrial placement students.
Approximately one hour from Manchester and Liverpool, Crewe also borders the towns of Nantwich and Chester, home to many restaurants, bars and shops. Where individuals need to relocate to the area, we offer support networks to help find accommodation and make new connections with our current trainees.
Our address is Pyms Lane, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 3PL, United Kingdom.

After you apply by submitting your CV and cover letter your application will be assessed by our Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers.
If your application is shortlisted, you’ll be asked to take part in an online interview and technical exercise. Successful applicants will then be invited to join us.
For some apprenticeship roles, you may be invited to an onsite interview and assessment.

Yes – you will be notified by email if your application is unsuccessful. Due to the volume of applications received, we cannot provide feedback on applications that are not shortlisted for interview.
We’re unable to respond to enquiries or applications from anyone who is not you. If you want to discuss your application, you can check its status by logging into your profile or by contacting the team directly via talent.acquisition@bentley.co.uk.
For the interview we advise a smart dress code (e.g., a shirt). School uniforms can be worn too.
If you're successful and in a production environment, you’ll be given company workwear. Other business areas don’t require uniform, but you’ll be expected to be smartly dressed.
Bentley selects a top training provider suited to your apprenticeship’s requirements. You won’t choose the provider; the training provider will be specified in the individual ads.
20% of your working hours will be used for study, equivalent to one day per week. This can either be through day/block release or virtual lessons.
This depends on the department. Production colleagues are on site five days a week. For other departments the guidelines are 60% on site and 40% remote. However this can vary based on role. You can ask the hiring manager during your interview for more detail.
Yes. Incoming trainees are supported by the Early Careers team, who act as the main contact between offer and joining and host pre-start events to help you meet fellow trainees.
Throughout the programme, trainees receive support from their manager or mentor on a day-to-day basis. Bentley also has a dedicated Early Careers team and specialist training providers who offer support. New starters are also assigned a 'buddy'. This will be an existing trainee, who is further along in their studies and will act as an informal mentor for any questions you may have.
