The Bentley brand manifesto

A story that will never end

Since our first engine roared into life in 1919, Bentley Motors has been a uniquely pioneering company. Today, more than a hundred years on, that desire to explore, exhilarate and set new standards has only intensified. Like most successful modern companies, Bentley has a defined mission and a vision of the future. But unlike other companies, we are uniquely devoted to advancing our core essence: the fusion of performance and luxury. That means pursuing excellence in everything we do, from the cars we create to the experience of visiting a Bentley retailer, anywhere on the planet. Below, we expand a little further on the world as we see it – and on the journey that lies ahead.

Our vision

At Bentley, we see the world as a place in which performance and luxury are constantly evolving. Nothing stays the same for long – especially in the creation of luxury experiences.

That’s why we are always searching for new ways to elevate the experiences we create. New levels of performance in the products we create. New levels of intricacy and craft excellence. New levels of exhilaration.

Our vision can therefore be summarised as the desire to continuously set new benchmarks in performance and luxury. Not just in this moment – but for the months, years and generations to come.

Our mission

Our mission can be thought of as the reason we exist. It is why we come to work every day. For everyone here at Bentley, it is to continuously create luxurious experiences using our unrivalled craftsmanship, our relentless drive to innovate and our unsurpassed commitment to sustainability.

This extends way beyond the cars we build to our manufacturing facilities and even our retailer network. Everything we do is part of a continuing evolution.

This aim to keep improving – to explore new limits and continue gathering momentum – is what drives us. In short, we exist not merely to be extraordinary. We exist to be relentlessly extraordinary.

Our strategy: Beyond100+

The Bentley brand is now on a journey towards the electrification of the entire product range – a journey that, with the growing availability of hybrid powertrains, is already well underway.

An array of Bentley plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are now available, across the Bentayga, Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur product ranges – all of which offer Bentley drivers the ability to undertake many daily journeys on electric power alone. But this is just the beginning. Soon, the range will be composed entirely of PHEV and fully electric models – with the first fully electric Bentley to be revealed in 2026. This model, designed, developed and due to be produced at the Bentley headquarters in Crewe, will be the first in a series – one that will see a new PHEV or BEV model launched every year for the next decade, as the company’s product and investment offensive continues apace. The ambition is to be building nothing but fully electric cars from 2035.

This electrification journey is one key element of Bentley’s Beyond100+ strategy. Yet there is still more to come. Because, while the cars we create represent a crucial part of our sustainability journey, the way we make them matters just as much. That’s why the Beyond100+ strategy also incorporates a fundamental reinvention of a manufacturing facilities in Crewe, in the north-west of England.  While the site has been certified carbon neutral for the last five years, work is well underway to reach our goal of a truly industry-leading manufacturing site – a project we refer to as the ‘Dream Factory’.
