Bentley and Dezeen design competition aims to explore the momentous changes taking place in the luxury industry including forward-thinking ideas for both digital and physical luxury experiences of the future, in and out of the automotive world.
In its first year, the competition focused on the Future of Luxury Retail. It attracted over 145 contestants from more than 33 countries around the world, invited architects and designers to explore what luxury retail spaces could look like in 2030 and beyond. Among the entries, three finalists were chosen as the winners and were invited to Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, along with receiving a cash prize.
"Bentley is a 104-year-old brand. For the last 77 years, our home has been right here in Crewe," said Chris Cooke, Head of Design Collaborations at Bentley, who was also a judge for the competition.
"We felt this would be the perfect place for our finalists to discuss their projects and allow them to see first hand how our vehicles are made," he continued.
