High-definition detailing

The stunning new Flying Spur exterior is enhanced with the inclusion of the Blackline Specification as standard, rendering all the exterior details that are normally chrome in black.

A gloss black bodykit

The gloss Beluga finish of the Styling Specification bodykit is paired with matching gloss black mirror caps, adding to the car’s purposeful, sports-inspired aesthetic.

Precision ‘focused eye’ headlamps

The Flying Spur’s striking new oval headlamps feature the intricate ‘Precision’ structure inside, in common with other performance-focused Bentley models.

New, darkened rear lamps

The new tail lamps are treated to a beautiful dark tint. While it does not affect the brightness of the lights when activated, the finish is consistent with the dark sporting details seen elsewhere on the car.

Exclusive 22” Speed wheels.

Imposing 22” wheels, designed exclusively for Bentley’s Speed models, further enhance the Flying Spur Speed’s incredible road presence.

Dark tint tailpipe finishers

The metallic surround seen on the tailpipes also features a dark tint, to ensure that wherever your gaze falls, every detail strikes a consistent tone.

Dark tint matrix grille

A dark tint has been applied to the exclusive Speed matrix grille, for a more purposeful sporting aesthetic than that of traditional bright chrome.

Dark tint exterior detailing

A matching dark tint treatment can be seen on the lower bumper apertures, the front and rear lights and the remaining exterior details.

Body coloured side sills

New body-coloured sills have the visual effect of extending the side of the car further towards the ground, making it look lower, sleeker and more muscular.

‘Speed’ exterior badging

To identify the car to onlookers and convey its sporting status, the exterior features dark tint ‘Speed’ badging.

Leather is combined with sections of motorsport-inspired Dinamica throughout the cabin, to evoke Bentley brand’s racing heritage.

Innovative 3D leather

Distinctive new 3D leather panels adorn the insides of the doors – a tactile and contemporary feature.

Bold Speed emblems

All seats – front and rear – are embroidered with exclusive Speed emblems, making the car’s identity clear to all occupants.

Digital detailing

Performance-themed graphics can be seen in the driver’s instrument panel behind the steering wheel, an on-screen detail exclusive to Bentley’s most driver-focused models.

Performance

Ready when you are

Do not be fooled by the sedan silhouette. The Bentley Flying Spur Speed is appropriately named.

The new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain combines a V8 petrol engine with a powerful electric motor, to deliver 11% more torque than even the previous Flying Spur Speed – and close to 20% more power overall. In practice, that means acceleration from a standing start to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds) and a top speed of 191 mph (308 km/h).

Dynamic handling is enhanced by a suite of cutting-edge chassis technology called Bentley Performance Active Chassis. It includes active all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, as well as the innovative Bentley Dynamic Ride system, which aids the car’s stability through corners. New twin-valve dampers enable the suspension system to adapt to the driving situation on demand, for example offering a more refined ride in Comfort mode – even when negotiating potholes or other surface imperfections – while also delivering greater stability and control when driving in Sport mode.

Built to exhilarate in every sense, the Flying Spur Speed is more powerful and driver-focused than any Flying Spur before it.

    Technology

    A breath of fresh air

A new, smart air conditioning system can filter out potentially harmful PM2.5 particles. It constantly compares air quality inside and outside the cabin, recirculating the air in the cabin if the air quality is inferior outside. Using GPS, it can even tell when the car is about to enter a tunnel, and engage recirculation mode to avoid drawing unclean air into the cabin.

  • Ultimate seating comfort

The optional Front Seat Comfort Specification can be enhanced with the additional Wellness Seating specification. It includes Seat Auto Climate, which constantly monitors seat temperature and humidity, using the seat’s built-in heating and ventilation systems to keep you comfortable at all times. It also includes Postural Adjust, which uses pockets of air inside the seat to vary the pressure on your muscles, almost imperceptibly, helping to prevent stiffness from setting in on long drives.

  • Download apps to the car

You can download your preferred apps to the car from a selection curated by Bentley, using the new My Bentley App Studio. So if you want to use an alternative navigation app, for example, you can run it natively on the car’s system, which will give third party applications access to useful data such as fuel and range levels.

    Remote connectivity

With the My Bentley smartphone app, you can check the status of lights, locks and windows, you can locate your car when it is parked and you can even schedule activity such as charging, if it is plugged into a charging socket. You can even use it to pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin to your desired temperature and control heated seats, steering wheel and armrests, before you get in.

    Integrated with your phone

Both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM can be accessed within the car, as well as a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless phone charging. You can choose to display the CarPlay screen on either the driver’s information panel or the central touchscreen, where it now makes use of the entire screen.

  • Easier urban driving

A suite of driver assistance systems makes manoeuvring in town much easier. The car can identify parking spaces and help you park, for example. You can even start the parking manoeuvre using the My Bentley app on your smartphone while you stand and watch* – useful when a space is so tight you might have difficulty opening the door. Your car can also alert you to the likelihood of low-speed scrapes in tight spaces, displaying a three-dimensional, real-time view of your nearby surroundings on the central touchscreen and braking automatically, if necessary to avoid an impact.

    * The driver must constantly supervise the manoeuvre and be able to intervene at any time to maintain safety.

  • Effortless cruising

With Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance*, your car will keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front, when on the highway – even if you slow down to a stop. It will alert you if you drift from the centre of your lane and if necessary, steer you back. Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control* takes things further, managing your speed on major non-highway roads. And if you become tired on a long drive, the Emergency Assist* feature will alert you, so you can take appropriate action.

    * All Driver Assistance features and Connected Car technology are subject to regional availability. Please contact your local Bentley retailer for full details.

  • Three stunning sound systems

Choose from three audio systems: the Bentley Signature Audio system, fitted as standard, the 16-channel Bang & Olufsen for Bentley or the 21-channel Naim for Bentley – considered by some to be the world’s best in-car sound system.

    Drive your way

The new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain offers five driving modes. EV Drive is emission-free, electric-only driving, for distances of up to 50 miles. In Hybrid mode, the car will automatically select when to use the electric motor and when to use the V8 engine. Hold mode relies mainly on the V8 engine, occasionally using the electric motor but preserving battery charge for later use. Charge mode uses the engine to charge the battery up to 80% while driving, and Sport Hold runs the V8 engine all the time, boosted by the electric motor for maximum power.

Personalisation

Take things further

Every Flying Spur Speed leaves the Bentley factory with an incredible specification, with an emphasis on sporting detail and technical finishes. Yet there is always the opportunity to make changes that reflect your personal tastes.

You can choose from Bentley’s entire range of exterior paints, along with premium Mulliner Paints, with your choice now including new colours Gravity Grey and Tourmaline Green. Inside, there are 15 primary hide colours to choose from, plus 11 from which to select a secondary colour, as well as Dinamica. Veneers include the full range of wood finishes, alongside a number of technical finishes that include engine-turned aluminium and high-gloss carbon fibre. New ‘piano’ veneer colours include Gravity Grey, Burnt Oak, Cricket Ball and Imperial Blue. The optional Dark Chrome Interior Specification, meanwhile, renders all the key, bright chromed components in a darker tint, to complement the exterior.

Technical data

The Flying Spur Speed is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 hybrid engine capable of delivering 771 bhp (782 PS) and 1000NM (738lb-ft) of torque.
