Design

Prepare to turn heads

Atop a sculpted front bumper sits an imposing grille, its design dependent on your choice of model. The exhilarating Bentayga Speed features a dark tint matrix grille, while the Azure features a bright chrome, vertical-vaned grille and the Bentayga model has a black matrix grille with a chrome surround.

The vehicle’s commanding stance is emphasised by exquisitely designed wheels – 21” wheels are standard on the Bentayga model, while the Bentayga Azure and Bentayga Speed are fitted with their own 22” wheels as standard, with a choice of striking 23” wheels available for the Bentayga Speed.

The treadplates on every model features the inscription ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England’, while Animated Welcome Lamps are now available as an option on all models.

This is just the beginning

You can commission a Bentayga in any one of seven standard colours. The extended range widens that choice to more than 80 colours, when you also consider duo-tone options and Mulliner Paints. There is also a range of contemporary new satin options.

With the launch of the Bentayga Atelier Edition, the Mulliner Legacy paint range was introduced. Offering selection of five heritage paint colours that are now easily accessible once again, it is available across both the Bentayga and Bentayga EWB ranges.

The Blackline Specification represents another stunning exterior choice, turning all the chrome exterior details black. The Styling Specification, meanwhile, adds a full carbon fibre body kit.

Inside, you can choose from a range of traditional high-gloss wood veneers, or contemporary new open pore options that use less lacquer. Technical, non-wood options are also available, such as carbon fibre and Dark Tint Diamond Brushed Aluminium. You can even opt for painted finishes such as the beautiful Piano Linen by Mulliner finish, with Cricket Ball, Imperial Blue, Gravity Grey and Burnt Oak available too.

There is a wide range of hide colours for the upholstery, and you can choose from a range of stitching options including contrast stitching, hand cross-stitching, or a combination of both. And for the ultimate in ambient lighting, you can opt to add Bentley Diamond Illumination, allowing a series of LEDs to shine through tiny perforations in the upholstery, to stunning effect.

Dolby Atmos

In addition to ionisers in the rear of the cabin, a new air conditioning system uses filters to optimise interior air quality and reduce the number of airborne pollutants – including harmful PM2.5 particles. Air quality levels inside and outside the vehicle are displayed in the driver’s information panel. It can even detect whether anyone is sitting in the rear seat and adjust the system accordingly, to conserve energy.

With Intelligent Park Assist, your Bentayga can park itself. If the parking space is particularly tight, you can even get out before beginning the manoeuvre and activate the system from your smartphone, using the My Bentley* app. Manoeuvre Assist* protects your car from bumps and scrapes in tight spaces, and 3D surround view gives you a three-dimensional, real-time view of your surroundings, based on the input from all four of the car’s cameras.

The Touring Specification* is as standard on the Azure and Mulliner models, and available as an option across the rest of the range. It includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance, which will keep your Bentayga at a safe distance from the car in front, due to congested traffic. It will also work to keep you in the centre of your lane, alerting you to any drift and correcting your course. Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control* will control your speed for you on major roads beyond the highway. It can adapt to changing speed limits automatically, while taking junctions, traffic lights and roundabouts in its stride.

On hybrid models, the My Cabin Comfort* feature allows you to set the cabin temperature before you set off using your mobile phone, even defrosting the windows in advance of your departure. It’s just one life-enhancing feature in the suite of My Bentley connected services.

The new My Bentley App Studio allows you to download your choice of apps directly to your Bentayga’s infotainment system, from a wide and growing range. It means, for example, that you can use your preferred navigation app and give it access to all the relevant vehicle data, such as fuel and range information. Consider it an app store for your car.

If you opt to add one of the Naim for Bentley or Bang & Olufsen for Bentley sound systems, and you use either of the Tidal or Amazon Music apps, you can now experience full Dolby Atmos sound. This cutting-edge audio technology delivers incredible definition and crystal-clear spatial awareness, so you can even identify where the sounds of individual instruments are coming from.

The Bentayga has been built to perform perfectly at lateral and longitudinal angles of up to 35º, with a wading depth of up to 500 mm. Its Torsen all-wheel drive system delivers power to all four wheels, for complete driving confidence at all times.

All V8 models now feature Bentley Dynamic Ride – an innovative, electronic anti-roll system that makes adjustments automatically in response to driving conditions. It helps keep the cabin stable when cornering at speed, while also reducing vibrations and improving ride quality on the open road.

The V8 models also feature all-wheel steering, which offers the dual benefit of a tighter turning circle at low speeds, combined with the ability to change lane and overtake much more smoothly and comfortably when travelling at high speeds.

Advanced seating features are available across the range, and installed as standard on some models. Postural Support gently and almost imperceptibly varies the pressure on different muscles to reduce fatigue, while Seat Auto Climate uses sensors to monitor the humidity and temperature at the surface of the seat and vary the heating and ventilation levels accordingly.
