Black Edition

Take the wheel of the Continental GT Black Edition and you will experience the incredible power of the High Performance Hybrid powertrain, which makes the car even more powerful than the last Continental GT Speed model – a car that, while in production, was the most powerful Continental GT available. 

The High Performance Hybrid powertrain pairs a turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 engine with a powerful electric motor, to deliver a combined system power output of 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. That’s enough to take you from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds (0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds) and on to a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph). 

Put the car into Sport Mode and you will hear a thunderous roar from the stainless steel sports exhaust, as the full power of the V8 engine kicks in. 

There is more to this car than raw power, however. It also features the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, a suite of high-tech chassis systems that come together to give you more control and confidence than ever before.

An electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) boosts rear-wheel grip when taking corners at speed, enabling you to explore the limits of the car with confidence. 

The suspension system features twin-valve dampers, which means even greater flexibility between driving modes – in short, it makes Comfort mode more comfortable and Sport mode even more responsive and exciting. 

The Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system keeps working to reduce body roll when cornering, for a greater sense of control, without compromising on the refined ride you expect when cruising. 

Finally, an all-wheel steering system makes manoeuvring in tight spaces much easier, while also allowing you to change lanes more smoothly, when driving at highway speeds. 

The Continental GT Black Edition features an impressive range of technology covering driving assistance and internet-connected services. It includes a suite of assistance features aimed at making urban driving easier, including Traffic Sign Recognition, Park Assist, a Top View Camera, Reversing Traffic Warning and Pedestrian Warning. 

You can connect your phone wirelessly or by USB cable using Apple CarPlay^TM or Android Auto^TM, and there is a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, for constant internet connectivity.  Internet radio, meanwhile, gives you access to thousands of stations, wherever you are. 

The My Bentley App Studio allows you to download apps direct to the car’s infotainment system, from a selection supported by Bentley. That means that if you prefer a third party navigation app, for example, you can run it on the car’s system rather than your phone, giving it access to car data such as fuel and/or charge levels.

The My Bentley smartphone app, meanwhile, gives you the ability to connect to your car remotely. You can use it to locate your car if you can’t remember exactly where you parked, or to check whether the windows are closed and the doors are locked. It can even alert you if your car is moved without your consent.

You can choose from a standard selection of seven exterior colours, chosen by the Bentley design team to enhance the muscular aesthetic of the Continental GT Black Edition. There are further options, however, including the paints in Bentley’s extended range and the satin paint range. In total, it adds up to more than 80 finishes you can choose from. 

If you would like an alternative to the gloss black painted finish on the 22” 10-spoke wheel, it can also be commissioned with bright machined faces and black painted pockets between the spokes. 

The Bentley Signature Audio system is fitted as standard, but there are options to upgrade even further. The Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system features 16 channels, while the 20-channel Naim for Bentley option offers truly unrivalled in-car sound.
