A Celebration of Past, Present and Future

Bentley returned to Monterey Car Week with a carefully curated programme celebrating its past, present and future. At Pebble Beach, the EXP 15 design vision concept made its first public appearance, drawing inspiration from the legendary 1930 Speed Six Gurney Nutting Sportsman coupe, known as the “Blue Train”. This historic Bentley also joined the Monterey programme, appearing on the road and at the returning Home of Bentley, where guests explored the marque’s latest models, craftsmanship and bespoke co-creation possibilities.

New Models and Mulliner Craftsmanship

At The Quail, Bentley presented the US public debuts of the latest fourth-generation Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur core and Azure models, alongside the new Bentayga Speed and the Mulliner Batur Convertible. The Continental GT Speed also showcased Bentley’s new ombre paint technology, a Mulliner personal commissioning option that blended two colours seamlessly from front to rear. Guests were able to experience the latest models through test drives, including the new High Performance Hybrid powertrain, combining a 4.0-litre V8 engine with an electric motor to deliver 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque.

Heritage Reimagined

Bentley’s heritage was further represented by the one-off Mark V Corniche, which appeared outside the UK and France for the first time. Originally conceived in 1939 as an aerodynamic design study, the Corniche had been painstakingly recreated and completed in time for Bentley’s centenary in 2019. It took part in the Tour d’Elegance before appearing on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance show field. In addition, Bonhams auctioned a handcrafted Bentley surfboard, created using Koa veneer from Bentley’s woodshop, with proceeds supporting SurfabilityUK.
