Bentley Continental GT3 leading British GT before Donnington season finale
The Bentley Continental GT3 leads the British GT Championship 2017 as Team Parker Racing heads to the series finale, dubbed the ‘Donington Decider’, this weekend (23/24 September 2017).
After storming to victory at Brands Hatch in August 2017, the drivers of the #31 Continental GT3, Seb Morris and Rick Parfitt Jr., leapfrogged into the lead of the championship and now head to the finale with a 10.5-point advantage.
The race win was Team Parker Racing’s fourth of the season and the third for Morris and Parfitt Jr. Team Parker Racing now sits in second place in the teams championship that is considered by many to be one of the most competitive national GT series in the world.
After a podium result at the 24 Hours of Spa, and wins at Paul Ricard 1000kms; Silverstone 500kms; British GT Championship at Spa; Pirelli World Challenge at Road America; and China GT at Goldenport in Beijing, the Continental GT3 is celebrating a summer of success.
Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush, comments: “Our Continental GT3 has repeatedly proven its race-winning capabilities, but these results are also testament to the hard-working teams and drivers that dedicate so much time and effort to putting together championship-winning packages.
“From the circuit hospitality to the race car preparation, Team Parker Racing are always raising the bar and we are proud to have them representing us on our national stage. We will be giving them our full support as they head into the final round of the British GT Championship at Donington.”
