Day 1

Arriving in Stockholm guests were collected from the airport in the comfort of a Bentley and chauffeured to Ett Hem for an exclusive overnight stay.

Ett Hem’s extraordinary interiors were designed by Ilse Crawford to appeal to the modern traveller by blurring the lines between home and hospitality. Here, they had time to relax in their rooms, explore the wellness spaces, and enjoy a homemade pastry in the kitchen. Ett Hem – which translates literally to ‘a home’ in Swedish, was their to enjoy.

After settling into their suite, they were met with a welcome reception in the living room, providing an opportunity to meet both their hosts and fellow guests – followed by a dinner in the library, and a nightcap.

Day 2

After breakfast in the Ett Hem Library, the journey began. Chauffeured through Stockholm, guests arrived at a scenic drive-away point to kick start their exhilarating journey behind the wheel.

The lunch stop for Day 2 was Naturehouse - a sustainable greenhouse that produces food and recycles energy through innovative design. Positioned on Lake Vättern, the second largest lake in Sweden, the group enjoyed the magnificent scenery.

The afternoon drive took guests to Trakt Forest Hotel - a contemporary wilderness experience. Deep in the forest they could unwind in the sauna or hot tub on arrival, followed by a welcome drink and dinner cooked over fire. There, exceptional Scandinavian cuisine enriched by the incredible natural surroundings, was served. After a nightcap, the group returned to their forest suits.

Having then been transferred to a private boat, guests navigated Copenhagen’s colourful canals to the modern waterfront. With a tour hosted by the Danish Architecture Centre, they experienced the dynamic landscape of the city from this unique perspective.

Our architectural highlight was an exclusive visit to the studios of Bjarke Ingels Group, also known as BIG, one of the world's greatest architectural practices. With a tour of the studio and insights into their practice, the visit concluded with a curated lunch experience in the beating heart of the studio.
