Once settled, you will enjoy a privately guided tour through its 115-year-old, thirty acres sanctuary. Learn about the property’s rich history and the processes involved with maintaining and supplying the gardens – you may even catch a glimpse of the chefs roaming the grounds and collecting items for tonight’s menu. As the evening settles in, join Otahuna’s executive chef for a cooking demonstration and get up close with the philosophies behind its celebrated food and wine programme.

Today, prioritise your wellbeing through a personalised itinerary. Rise and stretch to a morning yoga routine at an inspirational location in the Ahuriri Valley. Then, you will be presented with an option of activities to revel in throughout the day. Take the opportunity to study the unique flora and fauna of the area with an ecological guide, set off on a hike to uncover 49,000 hectares of the surrounding wetlands, forests, tussock and alpine countryside; or choose to wind-down within the spa. Whichever path you choose, you are bound to spend a unique day at the Ahuriri Valley.

Guests will be met with their own private helicopters and fly west over the high-country peaks of Queenstown towards the ‘Main Divide’ of the Southern Alps and into the World Heritage listed Fiordland National Park for an exclusive excursion to the majestic Milford Sound. This unique excursion will include four landings, each at diverse and pristine locations where you can sip the pure waters of an alpine lake; take in the majestic Milford Sound; and stroll along uninhabited wild yet beautiful West Coast beaches. Here, you will be met by a local who will dive for crayfish to be enjoyed at lunch. Your final landing will drop you at a historic goldminers whisky bar to enjoy a helping of high-country fare.
