Industrial Placement Q&A
If you like my application what happens next?
You will be asked to complete verbal and numerical online testing. Our managers will then review your application and decide if to progress you to the assessment centre stage. Details of what to expect will be sent with your invite.
What degree do I need?
A degree relevant to the department you are interested in. You should have passed all previous years of study and be on target for a 2:1 or above to be considered: we will need your university to confirm this.
Where will I be based?
In Crewe, the home of Bentley.
Do I need to speak any languages?
In today’s global market it helps! German would definitely be good but don’t worry, unless we specifically ask for it, you can learn through an evening class here at Bentley.
What will my first week be like?
Lets say it will be busy. You will join us in June and your first week will include induction, team building and finding your feet.
What will I be doing and will I be supported?
You will have real objectives and projects, which will add value to both the business and yourself. We know this is probably your first experience of the world of work so will ensure you are fully supported by a sponsoring manager and the Personnel team. Your peer group will also be a great support over the 12 months you are with us.
Which departments do you offer Industrial Placement vacancies in?
This can alter yearly depending on what the business needs but normally includes Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Finance, IS, Sales & Marketing and Production Planning.
Is there any opportunity to join the graduate programme after my Industrial Placement Programme?
Possibly! We want to attract the best. A successful placement may lead to a graduate programme offer. You have 12 months to impress!
